CVVC's Health Issue Committee makes recommendations to CVVC's Board over expenditure of Health Issues Funds to support studies of medical issues affecting vizslas. Currently, the Committee is supporting the epilepsy study (CVVC received a $2000 anonymous donation to seed participation of members in this study) and the Rabies Challenge Study.  Thank you to every member who has donated funds  to support the work of the Health Committee.

The Rabies Challenge Fund will determine the duration of immunity conveyed by rabies vaccines. The goal is to extend the required interval for rabies boosters to 5 years and then to 7 years. This project depends primarily upon grassroots gifts for funding the costs of conducting the requisite vaccine trials.
