INTRODUCTION TO BIRDS

The Introduction To Birds will give you the opportunity to introduce your vizsla to bird work. We are running these events like  hunt tests so that you may familiarize yourself with the procedures of the junior level of the AKC Hunt Test Program. An experienced person/mentor will work with each handler, and bird contact is 100% guaranteed. The dogs will be braced (two dogs running together) and the course will be approximately 25  minutes. We will brace similarly aged dogs together. Handlers will NOT be permitted to carry blank guns at this event. Only the mentors will shoot. You must indicate at registration whether you want to be in a brace with shooting. We plan to run  concurrent courses. The actual schedule will be posted on the website by Wednesday, September 13, 2006. www.ctvalleyvizslaclub.org

Puppies must be at least three months of age to participate; bitches in season may not participate.

Pre-registration is required. You will be assigned a running time which will be posted on the web page and the schedule will be strictly enforced. If you are not present to run in your time slot, you will forfeit your opportunity to run.
